HAINAN, China, March 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Shiner International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEST - News; website: http://www.shinerinc.com ), a market leader in China's anti-counterfeit plastic films industry, announces that Shiner has signed a total of $6.71 million anti-counterfeit plastic films supply contracts with various domestic and international customers for 2008 product delivery.

These new orders are represented by the largest tobacco company in Vietnam, the largest printing firms in Turkey and Israel, and a Shanghai based media company. Shiner expects continued and repeated orders from these domestic and international customers.

With increased marketing efforts and strong customer demand, Shiner expects to achieve significant product sales in 2008 from this high margin, technology-concentrated product segment.

Mr. Jian Fu, CEO of Shiner International, commented, "Shiner manufactures unique anti-counterfeit plastic films based on our patented technologies. Our anti-counterfeit packaging films are widely used in almost all industries. We are pleased that this high margin product line continues to enjoy broad customer acceptance worldwide. Shiner will continue to deepen our market penetration to both domestic and international markets. We look forward to a year of record sales and earnings from our anti-counterfeit film products."

About Shiner's Proprietary Anti-counterfeiting Process

Anti-counterfeit film is a specialty product created to help control piracy, a major concern in China as well as internationally. Piracy and counterfeit products have resulted in both significant losses to manufacturers and health problems to consumers on a global basis. The common technology used today relies on holograms; however, Shiner has applied a proprietary technology to develop specialized anti-counterfeiting film products. It is a BOPP film embossed with a high technology, multi-dimensional insignia that creates eye-catching illusions, which also helps increase brand identity.

Shiner International Owns 3 Anti-counterfeit Technology Patents

Shiner holds three anti-counterfeit film patents and its product has won several recognition awards in China such as: a nomination as the National Standardization Creator for both coated and anti-counterfeit films by the Industrial's Standards Administration in June 2007; the 2004-2005 Annual Technology Advancing Certificate by the People's Government of Haikou in August 2006; selected to be listed in the China Reputable Products Database by China Enterprises Union in April 2006; and in June 2005, Shiner was honored as the National New Product by the Ministry of Science and Technology in China and Ministry of Commerce in China for its BOPP laser anti-counterfeit film.
